Branch Code vs Universal Branch Code
Let us observe at the difference between a universal branch code and a branch code.
Universal Branch Code
You may use this code for every transaction you make regardless of the branch of the bank you established your account with because it is the same for all of the bank's locations.
When you choose the bank in FNB Internet Banking, the system effectively chooses the code for you. I am not sure if other banks operate in a manner similar to this.
If you utilize the global branch code when making online payments, you may still have your payments properly monitored if you often bank.
Branch Code
Each bank branch will have a branch code that is used to pinpoint where the branch is located.
